The Cinema des Galeries Aylmer has four rooms: three rooms with 150 seats and one room for 260 people. All facilities are equipped with Dolby Digital and equipment of great renown such as QSC amplification systems and EV (Electro Voice) speakers. Unique and very rare, this high end technical assembly provides excellent acoustics in each of our 4 rooms.

100% digital and the first movie theater of its kind in Gatineau since December 16th, 2011, the Aylmer Cinema is also one of the few 100% "Dolby Digital Cinema" in Canada and is positioned as a technology leader. Images of unsurpassed quality and sound without a comparable, Cinema des Galeries Aylmer is a must for the most avid movie fans and technical engineering connoisseur.

Our rooms are built on the optimal configuration of cinema: "square". This helps to give each viewer a sound spectrum and an optimal view angle for an wide panoramic view. Conversely, the "rectangular" rooms configuration have the disadvantage of being noisy, positioning the viewer away from the action, to have a short viewing angle and provide a sound spectrum very unegal. Our rooms are simply better built, more comfortable, better designed, an exemplary acoustic and with larger screens.

Our first three rooms are equipped with screens of 34 feet (20% larger than similar size room) . Each row does not exceed 16 seats in width which ensures your privacy . Our fourth room has a 48 feet screen and receives 265 people in two sections plus a VIP lounge (16 seats) . All seats are perpendicular to the screen which guaranteed to be always well seated !

Know that each of our rooms, you also get more legroom. This mean that you will be more confortable and noone will stepped on you! It's simple, we've thought about everything!



3D Digital

On the occasion of its 10th anniversary , Cinema des Galeries Aylmer innauguration December 19, 2009 its first digital 3D projector. With this significant investment, he became the first "small" cinema of Quebec and Canada to offer its customers digital 3D experience .

Since February 11, 2011 , the Cinéma des Galeries Aylmer bought a second 3D digital projectors . With this purchase , the Cinema des Galeries Aylmer becomes the first theater in the greater Outaouais region to have converted 50% of its cinemas. This investment was a second step toward a 100% conversion witch has been completed on December 16th from the same year.

Cinema des Galeries Aylmer is known for its excellent projection equipment and sound systems that compare to the larger theaters of major cities in America. Film lovers are offered a cinematic experience of the highest quality . Now , with the arrival of the latest 3D technology " RealD " on silver screen and digital projectors the firm deemed " Christie , a leader in the field .
